Challenge

The Community Foundation serves multiple audiences through an expansive website containing hundreds of pages, programs, and resources. The challenge was to organize a large volume of content into a clear, intuitive experience while balancing user needs with stakeholder priorities.

Solution

Through stakeholder workshops, comparative analysis, and iterative UX design, I developed low- and high-fidelity wireframes that simplified complex information into a scalable website architecture. I collaborated closely with developers during handoff and QA to ensure the final product reflected both the design vision and the client's goals.

Reflection

This project reinforced an important lesson about stakeholder management. While the client felt heard throughout the process and was highly satisfied with the final product, I believe we could have pushed harder to prioritize user needs over content volume. In hindsight, simplifying the navigation and encouraging more content prioritization would have created a more intuitive experience. It's a reminder that successful UX design isn't just about including everything stakeholders want—it's about helping them make thoughtful decisions that better serve their users.

Conclusion

The redesigned website provides the Community Foundation with a modern, flexible platform that supports its evolving mission while offering valuable lessons in balancing stakeholder expectations with user-centered design.
